February 12, 1950 – September 16, 2020
Sarah Ann Thomas was born on February 12, 1950. She was the youngest child born to the late Edgar W. Thomas Sr. and Frances E. Dugger.
Sarah Ann as she’s affectionately referred to by her family members was a proud graduate from Hebert High School class of 1968, before moving on to attend Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. While attending Texas Southern University, Sarah joined Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sarah remained a loyal and faithful believer until her passing.
To many of her nieces and nephews she loved them like a parent supported them as a summer camp director and babysitter, and a foreign language instructor.
Sarah Ann enjoyed traveling no matter how long or short the destination, or how cramped the seating arrangements.
After working for Target a number of years, Sarah Ann retired as a member of the Price Change Team.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edgar Thomas Jr., Frank Thomas Sr., Jerry Thomas Sr., Joseph Thomas, Ellis Thomas, Robert Thomas and Don Thomas; sisters, Etta Braxton and Gwendolyn Jordan.
Sarah’s love and memories will remain in the hearts of her brother, James (Tex) Thomas (Ida) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her aunt, Margaret Ann McDonald of Orange, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended Jehovah’s Witnesses family.
