Riley Francis

August 8, 1959 – December 23, 2019

Riley Francis was born on August 8, 1959 to Josie Francis and Albert Francis. This union produced 4 boys and 4 girls. Riley was the youngest of the siblings. He was preceded in death by both of his parents Josie Francis and Albert Francis, his beloved wife Lori Ann Francis, sister Beverly Francis, and 2 grandchildren.

He was an outgoing, active, and adventurous kid. He attended Carver Elementary School, Dunbar Jr. High School, and Charlton Pollard High School.

He had several jobs before he was hired at Wal-Mart, until he changed jobs and started at Academy, where he would greet everyone with a smiling face. Everyone knew him and his outgoing personality. You could find him on the BBQ pit grilling for his co-workers for special events. He loved cooking for his family and friends. Church was also one of his favorite places to be, he was a member at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John R. Adolph. He also loved to dress up in his suits of many colors and he loved dancing. He never let anything keep him down.

Everyone knew how he felt about his child; if he had it, she had it! He loved unconditionally. His grandchildren, nieces, and nephews all meant the world to him. His unconditional love did not stop there, it also applied to his siblings. But most of all to his mother whom he cherished and took care of until she passed away.

Riley leaves to mourn, his daughter Veronica Joseph of Beaumont, Tx, Siblings: Gary Francis of Beaumont, Tx, Keith Francis (Lara) of Port Arthur, Tx, Marilyn McKinney of Chicago, IL, Laraine Sarten (Dino) of Alanta, Ga, Arlene Davis of Beaumont, Tx, John Francis of Austin, Tx Grandchildren: Kendallyn Glover, Phillip Joseph, Elijah Joseph, Josiah Joseph-Piper, Dakota Briggs, Jamarion Cullivan, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and co-workers from Wal-Mart and Academy who know earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
