Ralph Christopher Pickens 1960 – 2021

Ralph Christopher Pickens

August 5, 1960 – May 12, 2021

To anyone who knew Ralph knew that he was a thoughtful and cheerful person and he never had a negative thing to say about anyone or anything.

Ralph loved listening to music, specifically smooth jazz. He was active by playing in the Softball League, especially during the bazars at church. One of our fondest memories is that he had a love for cars like his father. But he also made sure he gave his brother advice as a teenager.

Even though Ralph endured a life changing accident at a young age he never let that change his personality. Every day he would always tell us “I love you; I know you love me.”

His unwavering love showed us, as a family, that “Love” is truly unconditional. We loved and cherished him for giving and showing us that love endures no matter life’s circumstances. Which is what made caring for him a joy for 35 years and we thank God for allowing us to love him all that time, because our father always told us we had to stick together because in life all you have is each other.

Ralph Christopher Pickens was born August 5, 1960 in Beaumont, Texas to Columbus and Gloria Pickens. Ralph was the 2nd of six children and raised in a loving, caring, God fearing home. Ralph graduated from Hebert High School in 1978 and shortly after graduating and employed for 7 years at Dupont in Orange, Texas before his car accident.
