Nathanial Thomas Kyle, Sr.

1952 – 2020

Nathanial was born January 17, 1952 in Kirbyville, Texas to Offery Kyle Sr. and Nobie Kyle. His family moved to Houston, TX. Nathanial was a 1969 graduate of Kashmere High School. He passed away on Saturday December 5th, 2020 at 68 years of age at CHI St. Luke’s Health, in the Woodlands, Texas, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a very dedicated employee of CHI St. Luke’s for 46 years, and had recently retired August of 2020. He was also an honorable discharged veteran of the United States Army in January 1974. He later decided to attend Texas Southern University where he received an Electrician Certification and formed his own business shortly after.

Nathanial accepted Christ at an early and was a committed and faithful servant in the house of the Lord as an usher for many years. He was a man of few words, but his humble, gentle, kind, loving spirit, and captivating smile would light up a room! Whenever you left his presence, he was sure to be remembered as a pleasure to be around. Nathanial had many hobbies; he truly loved to fish, repairing computers, catching up with his co-worker buddies on the phone when he was health challenged, but his favorite thing to do was going to garage sales early Saturday mornings with his wife. Nathanial taught us as a family how to be patient and slow to speak, and he did this mostly by not saying a word. He was a very happy, clam, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Nathanial was preceded in death by his parents; Offery Kyle and Nolie Lee Love; granddaughter, Dominique Alex; sisters, Creola Burleson, Maye Kyle, Jackie Love, Beatrice White, Marie McCullough; brothers, Offery Kyle Jr., Kenneth Kyle, Costello Kyle, Sterling Kyle, Allen Kyle, Jessie Love, and Cleophus Burnett.
