Michael Bell

September 19, 1957 – May 22, 2021

Michael was born to Raymond and Jessie Bell in Beaumont, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St Pius X Catholic Church. As a young boy, Michael loved animals, sports and had a love for football. Michael played football at French High School and graduated in 1976. After high school, he went to work for the railroad doing construction.

He later joined the United States Army in 1978. In 1981, he attended Delta Nursing School and became a nurse at the local hospital. Michael was a very free-spirited person. He loved to barbeque and to go fishing. He also loved to hang out with family and friends.

He was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jessie Bell; his sister, Freddie Hall; and brother, Walter “Greg” Bell.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his one and only daughter, Renata Sam of Beaumont, TX; a bonus son, Xavier Sam of Beaumont; three sisters, Clara Annette Bell, Therese “Tracy” Bell, Loretta Thadison (Cleveland) and four brothers, Ray Bell (Kim), Robert “Do Bob” Bell, Patrick Bell (Cherise) and Scott Bell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael was loved by many and will be forever cherished in the lives of his family and friends. We find comfort in knowing that Michael is in a better place, knowing in his last days he did not suffer too long. Michael will be missed dearly.
