Karen Lynn Nacoste Taylor was born on September 27,1981 in Beaumont Texas, to Louis Nacoste and Carrie Harmon. Karen was apart of the trailblazers, the first full graduating class of Clifton J. Ozen Magnet High School in 2000. After graduating high school she married her high school sweetheart, the late, Edward Jason Taylor Sr. in 2002. Then she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Lamar University. She pursued a career in education for over ten years for Beaumont Independent School District. Outside of her profession, Karen had a passion for cooking and baking. Every holiday the family look forward to her famous sweet potato cake and mocha pecan balls. She also had a great love for family. Through prayer and trusting God, she had her children, Edward Taylor Jr. and Kaitlyn Arrie Taylor. She raised her children with unconditional and eternal love. Karen Taylor departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Nacoste, Carrie Harmon and husband Edward Taylor Sr. Karen is survived by her son Edward Taylor Jr, daughter Kaitlyn Taylor, mother-in-law Rosiland Taylor, Uncle Otis Nacoste (Carol), sisters-in-law Monica Reynolds, Princess Peter (Abraham), Jerrica Stelly (Devonion), brothers-in-law Daniel Taylor (Brittany), and Benjamin Taylor (Ashley), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
