Gilbert “Gee-Gee” Lee Scott
November 14, 1950 – July 22, 2020
Gilbert Lee Scott was born on November 14, 1950 to John Luke Scott, Jr. and May Hilda August in Tacoma, WA. He was the second child of three sons. Both brothers, Danny Ray Scott, Sr. and John Luke Scott, III preceded him in death as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents; two nieces and a great-nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gilbert left earth for his heavenly home on July 22, 2020, he was well-known and loved by many.
GeeGee attend public school in Beaumont, TX where he was extremely popular and like by the ladies. He graduated from Hebert High School in 1970, where he was a talented football player.
Gilbert married the love of his life, Mildred Faye Smith, in 1973. They were blessed with a son, Todd Christopher Smith and a daughter, Natasha Leigh Smith Scott. He was employed by Trinity Industries as a young man. He later retired from Motiva Chemical Corp. as a welder inspector.
Later in life, Gilbert met Carolyn Wheaton. He spent the remainder of his years with his soulmate.
Gilbert leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Natasha L. Ieans-Wheaton; grandchildren, Brittany Ieans, Jeffery Ieans, Breanna Ieans and Breena Ieans; great- grandchildren, Landon Smith, Victoria Michael, and De Mario McIntire. His soulmate, Carolyn Wheaton; her daughter, Ferlenzia Manuel; her grandchildren, Ja’Kevian Wilson, Far’Karriah Roberts; uncles, Joe Scott (Girlean) and Don Scott; aunts, Dorothy August-Mann, Annie B. Scott Moye, and Gwendolyn O’Day Scott-Lee (Ivory); nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
