Ezekiel Jones

January 8, 1940 – July 7, 2020

“Come unto, me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Ezekiel Jones was born on January 8, 1940 to the late Stewart and Lucille Jones. Ezekiel, “Pee Wee”, as we affectionately called him, attended James H. Henderson High School in China, Texas. He was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church in China, Texas. Ezekiel was self -employed and was a man of many trades. His hobbies included lead singing in various bands and mechanic work. He was preceded in death by his parents Stewart and Lucille Jones; his brothers, Daniel Jones, Merkiel Jones, James Jones and Curtis Jones. Ezekiel is survived by his children, Lynette Botley (Henry), Annette Jones, Joe Curtis Hunter, all of Beaumont, one brother , Melvin Jones of Texarkana, TX; sisters Ida Deshotel of Cheek, TX, Mary Jones of China, TX, and Velma Young of Beaumont, Texas, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
