Duewell Joseph Guillory

Duewell Joseph Guillory also known as Joe, was born on April 9, 1963 in Lake Charles, LA to the union of Mary Guillory-Dejean and Charles Dejean. He departed this earthly life at the age of 57 on July 19, 2020. Joe was united in marriage on December 23, 2001 to Lisa Carol LeDay-Guillory. Their lifespan together is a total of 29 years, 11 years prior to marriage and 18 years married. He cared for his family working instillation with Citgo Refinery in Lake Charles, LA until he moved to Port Arthur, Texas where he worked for Mobil Oil and Spil-Tech as a night manager. He was a Port Arthur resident for over 20 years. Joe attended school at Marion High School, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Although he never had any biological children, Joe was a very devoted godfather of three. He enjoyed spending time with his godchildren and hitting the game rooms every chance he got. He was also a devoted dog dad to his two chihuahua’s; Noonie and Jen-Jen. Joe truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as chatting with friends and family, snacking, and watching wrestling every Monday night. His magnetic personality made it impossible for him to meet a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dejean Sr. and brothers, Charles Dejean Jr, and Darrell Dejean.
Survivors include: His devoted wife, Lisa Guillory; mother, Mary Guillory; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Delbert LeDay; brother, Michael (Diane) Dejean and sisters; Quanna Slaughter and Cerika Slaughter all of Lake Charles, LA. Also, a nephew and godson, Cyrus Scott and Isaiah Ellis; niece/ goddaughter, McKenzie LeDay; brother-in-laws, Dalbert (Jessica) LeDay, Arthur Phillips of Lake Charles, LA, Karl LeDay, John LeDay and Marcus LeDay of Port Arthur, TX; sisters-in-laws, Pamela LeDay of Beaumont, TX, Paula (Freddie) Moore of Houston, TX, Yolanda (Anthony) Hill of Houston, TX, Elonda LeDay and Sarah LeDay of Port Arthur, TX. Special friend, Michael Lartigue of Port Arthur, TX. Also treasuring his memories are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
