Bobbie Jean Dent Mayes 1937 – 2020

On Friday, September 1, 1939, Bobbie Jean Dent was born to Dan and Agaithine Dent Mayes in Beaumont, TX. Bobbie left this earthly life to be with the Lord on October 27, 2020.
Bobbie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.
Bobbie graduated from Hebert High School in 1957. She retired from Beaumont ISD as a Transportation Assistant.
Bobbie was proud to be a Charter member of Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Delbert Mack. She looked forward to attending the Williams Family reunions and everyone enjoyed her homemade macaroni & cheese.
On Sunday, October 5, 1958, Bobbie married Samuel Mayes and to this union three children were born. They shared over 53 years of marital bliss.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three siblings.
Bobbie’s love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of her two sons; Samuel Joseph Mayes of Clear Lake, TX and Micheal W. Mayes of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Virginia Elaine Nauls (Donald) of Beaumont, TX ; grandchildren, Keith Mayes, Micheal Mayes, and Michalla C. Mayes Fontenot; one great-grandchild; brothers, Blondie Ray Dent (Glenda) and David Allen Dent (Diane); sister, Dan Ethel Coward and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
